I bought so much stuff that I had to leave a lot of it behind for my parents to bring with them when they drive over in June. Yikes! I have no self control! Why doesn't Colorado have one of these stores? That is RIDICULOUS! I might have to write a letter.
After IKEA we went back to the homestead and relaxed a bit and then I decided to take Scot to some of my old stomping grounds. We went down to the Sacramento River and walked along the dock where the Delta King and the Spirit of Sacramento is...Here we are with the bridge in the background.
After we walked along the water for a while we decided to go back up and walk around Old Sac. We took a seat along the way that overlooks the river...How Romantical...
We wandered around for a while and of course had to go to Evangeline's the only store really worth going to in Old Sac (you other sac town people can vow to this) and I also always have to go to the store with the barrels of Salt Water Taffy and Jelly Belly's because I am chubby like that.
On Saturday my mom signed us up to take a scrapbooking class where we made these super CUTE desk calendars while my dad and Scot played darts:
That night my family came over for pizza and we had a nice visit with them. No pictures though! DOH! Sunday we had to go home. BOOOOO. It was really rainy and nasty on Sunday so we just kind of hung out at the house and visitied before we had to go to the airport. SAD!
We had a great visit and can't wait for you guys to come see us in June! We are going to have so much fun!

It was so fun to have you come even if it was a short visit. I love any excuse to go to Ikea. It is a great store. We are looking forward to our visit in June. Seems like a long time...hummm maybe I'll have to fly over. We'll see.
I love IKEA too! It is one of the first things I knew I would miss when we moved away from SLC. Somehow I don't think there's a chance in you know where that we will get one here in Rexburg, or even Idaho Falls! Looks like you had a fun trip!
Have you never been to IKEA? That is my favorite store. Almost all of the furniture in my house is from IKEA. Love it! So glad SLC has one and that Scott's family lives there so we can actually go. Oh Sac town, I remember going to old town or whatever. That was fun. Miss you! Oh and cute scrapbooky thing. I haven't gotten into that yet but it is very cute.
How fun, i think we're going to CA this summer so i can show ryan my old stompin grounds..And even better you got to fly for CHEAP!!!
So, my friend Kristy actually blogged a while back about an Ikea being built in Denver! If she blogged about it, it must be true! ;) I don't know any other details, but if I find out I'll let you know. (I've never shopped at one, but my sisters LOVE them!)
I miss Cali! It's been years since we have been back. Isn't IKEA great. They built one in Utah and I love it.
Yup, there's an Ikea in the works for Denver. I know. I checked it out. Because we have LOTS of stuff from Ikea. I don't know what we would do without our drinking glasses from there . . . even our changing table and crib are from there. It's the awesomest store ever! And we were just there and we bought MORE stuff this weekend in Utah. I got this really cute miniature greenhouse to put on our patio and grow my herbs in. Sweet! Looks like you had a great time.
