Check Out Our Celebrity Look Alikes!!

Here are our celebrity twinners! Woo hooo! Unfortunately for me I am not even remotely close to being as pretty as these ladies but on the other hand fortunately for me Scot is much better looking than these guys. That Phil of the Future guy and Donnie Osmond don't have anything on my Scot!

BYU vs. Air Force

Score
69 - 53

We just got home from the BYU vs. Air Force Basketball game up at the Academy. It was a lot of fun. BYU played really well. It was a really close game until the last couple minutes. We were suprised at how many BYU fans were there which was neato as well. It's nice to have the Academy so close to us. We really enjoy going to basketball, hockey and football games up there. Ok so Scot likes going to the football games, I don't so much but I do like going to hockey and basketball.

It snowed a couple inches while were at the game so walking to the car was no fun at all! The snow was pelting our faces and burning our lungs. We were very happy when we finally reached the car! I can endure a lot of things but cold is still one that I am working on!

Anyway it was a fun time had by all...GO BYU!!

My Cousin

I just thought I would get on here and brag a little about my cousin who is in the Navy! Here is a picture of her ship. She is on the big one in the middle! It's called the USS Kitty Hawk. Love this picture!

Here is a picture of her and her fiance Jamie. Aren't they cute? They are stationed on the same boat, that's how they met...

Amanda works in the hanger bay. Her crew moves the planes from one deck to another and Jamie works on the flight deck as a fireman.

Even though we really miss having Amanda around (especially on Christmas Eve when it's time to open our special gift from Santa) we are so very proud of her for serving our country and becoming the wonderful person that she is!!!!

I am just posting some scrapbooking ideas for anyone who is interested. I am no expert or amazing scrapbook artist by any means but it's something I enjoy doing so I thought I would share and I hope you all will too...Enjoy!

Ode to the Stratus...

Oh lovely Stratus how we've loved you so
but now it is time for you to go.
We've had a good run
Lots of fun in the sun,
but now you must go to that junk yard
where you will meet lots of other cars....

Uh OK so that last part doesn't really work but yes folks it's true, the Stratus has finally died. It was a sad day when we got the call that there really wasn't anything we could do except for try a new engine and then if that didn't work then it would probably need a new computer. We have put so much money in to that car already we just decided that we don't owe it anything and it doesn't owe us anything so it was time to go our seperate ways. For now we are just a carpooling, one car, gas guzzling family and we will probably stay that way for the next few months. It's been kind of fun though driving to work and complaining to each other the entire way about how much we don't want to go and then driving home complaining about how much our days sucked. No, but it really has been kind of fun to talk more and discuss our day and what not. Here are some pictures of our girl...You'll notice the picture of the side mirror with the strange looking yellow goop oozing out of it. Well when we first moved in to our house it had been a while since I had had to drive in to an actual garage so I guess I undercalculated how much room I had between the mirror and the garbage can and the mirror suffered greatly. Yes she's been through a lot...

Our Disney Slide Show

Scot and I love to reminisce about all of our Disney/Universal trips. We always have such a good time and the best part is there is no stress involved. Here is a slide show of pictures from all of our trips beginning with our honeymoon and ending with our last trip to Florida in October! Enjoy!

Sawyer Who?

A few days ago at work an email went around about tickets to a country concert at the Pikes Peak Center. Not thinking we would get them my mother in law and I responded to the email and ended up scoring four tickets. So on Thursday night Scot, Jennifer, Leeann and I met up and went to the concert. None of us really had any idea what we were doing or who we were about to see but we ended up having a blast. The concert featured Sawyer Brown as the main group and then some lady named Reesie????, Chris Young, Phil Stacey (The American Idol Guy), and Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Sawyer Brown was really fun to watch and I ended up knowing some of their music being the part country fan that I am.

It always amazes me when you are out some where whether it's a concert or a play or some other sort of event how oblivious people are of their surroundings. However I am really glad that there are those people out there because sometimes they are even more entertaining to watch than the people you are supposed to be watching. There was a lady sitting in a box ahead of us that knew all of this guys dance moves before he would even do them and these weren't just any dance moves. They were like none I had ever seen before. Scot swore she was probably his wife and they had been practicing for quite some time but after seeing her run down to the stage to take about 3.4 million pictures of the guy we decided she was just a really really dedicated groupie. Then there was another lady seated on the bottom section of seats closest to the stage who kept standing up without any regard for those dedicated paying fans behind her and doing what looked like the mashed potato at a country concert for crying out loud. Number one I'm pretty sure that dance went out in the 60's and number two shouldn't she be doing like the boot scoot boogie if nothing else? Anyway as you can see I am a people watcher which is always a good time but if you ever really want to get some good dance moves you will have to look up Sawyer Brown!!!

Here is a picture of us anxiously awaiting for the concert to start:

(Note to self: NEVER WEAR THAT VEST IN A PICTURE AGAIN!!!!!!!)

What a Great Date...

So, last night Scot and I went to the Melting Pot downtown for desert and it was awesome of course. I am not very adventurous so we just went with the Pure Milk Chocolate which you can never go wrong with. Doesn't Scot look so excited to dig in? For whatever reason I just look bored or worried or something but for the record I was excited and happy to be there espeically after having to waste most of my day at work on a Saturday, maybe that has something to do with my haggard look!

So after spending some time there we went to the musical "Hairspray" that was playing at the Pikes Peak Center. We bought our tickets forever ago it seems so I was excited to finally go see it. It was really good and I loved it!We had a great time and Scot at least pretended to enjoy it. There is always of course the people around you that ruin it a bit because you just can't get over their annoying laugh or their funny smells but besides those things we had a lot of fun!!

Our New Years

Our New Years Day ended up being pretty nice. We woke up and ate a late breakfast around 10am. Then we lazed around and watched some T.V. and I worked in my awesome scrapbook room until about noon.
Then we got ready and went to Kohls where we bought some cute things for the house . They have lots of great deals at that store. We really like it. Then we went and had our first experience at P.F. Changs.
We had heard it was really good so we decided to try it out and we really liked it. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Scot of course ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and we shared those. We decided that for next time we need to just share one entree because I was super uncomfortable for the rest of the day. You see I have no self control so if I like something I will just eat myself in to oblivion. That's why one of my New Years Resolutions is to CUT BACK. After that we decided to take the food home so our car didn't stink for two weeks but when we got there I realized that Dr. Phil was on so I had to see what the topic was and of course I wanted to watch it because I am a closet Dr. Phil junkie.
After a riviting and life altering episode of Dr. Phil we headed down to Gordmans to do a little more shopping. We didn't realize that the stores would be closing early so we were rushed out of there and then we went next door to Ross but they had already closed. So we decided to just head home and relax a little more before another fun filled day of work.

We hope you all had a Happy New Year!!!!

Christmas in California

We had a great Christmas vacation with my family in California. We mostly just relaxed and visited with family. On Christmas Eve my aunt and cousin came over for our traditional clam chowder dinner and afterward we opened presents and the infamous pajamas. Then we played a few rounds of Catch Phrase. On Christmas Day we got up and opened presents with my mom and dad and then went out to my grandparents house for the day. It was fun to see everyone and be with them for the holidays! Here is a few pictures from our trip...

My Aunt Pam can always find the perfect gift for Scot. I don't know how she does it but this year she bought him a hat with two little lights on the end and as you can see he is a big fan!

Here is my family on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas!

It's always fun to play games with my cousins when we come home for a visit. Here we are playing UNO at Grandma and Grandpa's!
