Ode to the Stratus...

Oh lovely Stratus how we've loved you so
but now it is time for you to go.
We've had a good run
Lots of fun in the sun,
but now you must go to that junk yard
where you will meet lots of other cars....

Uh OK so that last part doesn't really work but yes folks it's true, the Stratus has finally died. It was a sad day when we got the call that there really wasn't anything we could do except for try a new engine and then if that didn't work then it would probably need a new computer. We have put so much money in to that car already we just decided that we don't owe it anything and it doesn't owe us anything so it was time to go our seperate ways. For now we are just a carpooling, one car, gas guzzling family and we will probably stay that way for the next few months. It's been kind of fun though driving to work and complaining to each other the entire way about how much we don't want to go and then driving home complaining about how much our days sucked. No, but it really has been kind of fun to talk more and discuss our day and what not. Here are some pictures of our girl...You'll notice the picture of the side mirror with the strange looking yellow goop oozing out of it. Well when we first moved in to our house it had been a while since I had had to drive in to an actual garage so I guess I undercalculated how much room I had between the mirror and the garbage can and the mirror suffered greatly. Yes she's been through a lot...

Oh, Sweet Stratus . . .
Car of Scot's soul!
We'll miss you dearly
And that's no bull.
And so you're gone
And we have cried
But life moves on
Even when your beloved car has died.

Okay, so that last part didn't really work either. Farewell, dear Stratus and may you always find happiness in that junk yard in the sky.

Stratus, Oh, Stratus
Oh, how we'll miss you so.
Your warm and and soft interior,
Your dark maroon-y glow.
You've served your time,
You've done your part.
And now its time to go.

Yeah, my ending didn't really work either.

Oh Stratus what sadness
It's time to rest, I guess
One good thing that makes me glad
To buy you,The chance I had
But I choose the cute car
And It's taken me far
but sad I am that you are gone
If you were here I'd sing you a song
But we will remember you
Until the sky is no longer blue!

HaHaHa
My ending worked!!!

Stratus old Stratus...
I did not know you well
But there was one ride to Virginia City that seemed like a trip to ...

Ok so my ending wasn't nice. What can I say. That trip was a little strange. Anyway we are sorry that the car died but sometimes you just have to give up and cut your losses.

Ok so I'm not going to do a rhyme here but I can't believe Scot's beloved car kicked the bucket. Sad times.
