Indoor Skydiving

Last Memorial Day Jonathon was staying with us and we decided to go to Denver and try indoor skydiving. I have to admit I was a little nervous but we ended up having a great time. It was kind of a weird sensation and it was a little hard to breath with a 150 mph wind (I don't really know how fast it was but that sounds awesome) blowing up your nose but once you got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing. I also had an issue with leaving my mouth open so when I came out of the air tunnel I had a string of drool on the side of my face which was awesome too. Anyway, enough about that here is a viedo clip of our experience:

"Enchanted..."

This afternoon we went and saw the movie "Enchanted." While all the crazies were out shopping we had a nice relaxing afternoon in the theatre. This movie was hilarious and super cute. The funniest part happened during a scene where two people were about to kiss and a little boy in the back shouted out in a low, raspy, trying to be manly, hadn't changed yet voice "just do it!" The theatre erupted in laughter. It was a fun movie amidst the snow storm going on outside and we would definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't had a chance to yet!

Christmas Decor...

We love Christmas time! It's probably our favorite holiday of the year. One of our most favorite things to do around this time of year is put up our Christmas decorations together and we always do it the weekend after Thanksgiving. It's just a fun time where we can talk, or listen to holiday music. This year we watched Elf. We like to take care of it a little early especially when we know we will be in California for Christmas so we have more time to enjoy them. Here are a few of our favorite things....

Here is our Christmas tree. We haven't been adventurous enough to go out and get a real tree. Scot says that if I get him a pine smelling air freshener then he will be happy. I think I can handle that.

This is one of my most favorite things. We bought this set last year and we plan to buy the wisemen set this year. Scot even built the stable which makes me love it that much more!

This is Scot's favorite. We found this in Estes Park last year when we were there. We have really fell in love with this artist. We think he does great work!

We Are...

DOG SITTING...We were asked to dog sit this weekend and it has been quite the experience. I have been trying to convince Scot that we need a dog for months now but I have not been successful. So when this opportunity fell in to our laps I thought for sure he would cave but no such luck. He is still adament that we in no way shape or form need a dog...I still have one more day to convince him...

Randy's Visit

This morning we got up really early to take Scot's friend Randy to Garden of the Gods. Randy was in town for just one night and Scot wanted to show him some of what Colorado Springs has to offer.

Jenny's Weekend in Provo

This weekend I was able to go and visit some of my roommates from Ricks College who have become my dearest friends. We had such a great time catching up and reminiscing about all the good times we had together. Here are a few photos from the trip...

Here we are sitting at the Cougar Eat at BYU. We had just gotten done eating at Kneaders which had the best french toast I have ever eaten by the way, and we decided to go to the bookstore but it wasn't open yet so this is a picture of us waiting for it to open. OPEN! OPEN! OPEN!

Here is a picture of Erin with some crazy googly eyes! Woo woo...

Here we all are eating at Cracker Barrel. Nummers...

Here we are concentrating really hard on an intense game of checkers.

After dinner we all went back to Tawna's house and played imaginiff.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

OK so we will just be talking about planes in these here blog. Scot is such a big kid. He loves toys and anything mechanical. If anyone ever can't think of a birthday or Christmas present for Scot just buy him something with a remote control. So here is a picture of Scot enjoying one of his favorite past times, flying airplanes. A couple Saturday's ago we went to the middle school by our house and I thought this picture turned out great. You can see the plane, oh so small in the upper left hand corner of the picture. Enjoy...

Dan in Real Life...

Scot and I just got home from seeing the new movie "Dan in Real Life." It's the new Steve Carell movie that came out yesterday. It was pretty hilarious. We loved it and laughed really hard so we just wanted to blog and let everyone know that we think you all should go see it because we know how much our opinion of movies matters to all of you.

Plates by Us...

Here is another one of our latest concoctions. One day while I was shopping at Hobby Lobby in the Scrapbook section of course I had dragged Scot along so he went off on his merry way wandering around the store and soon came back with this little project in his hands. So what you do is they give you this special paper with some special markers and you can design a plate any way you want. Then once you are finished they have an envelope and you send it off with a check and in about 2 weeks you have a plate designed by yours truly. Pretty cool right?

Our Exciting Date Night

Sometimes it's fun to just sit down and do a good old fashioned puzzle...OK so maybe we are the only ones that think that but amongst the hustle and bustle of our busy week sometimes on the weekends we don't want to fight the crowds in a busy restaurant or go waste our money on some trashy movie so we try to think of something different to do that we either haven't done in a while or that we have never done. When we were dating we did a couple of puzzles and really enjoyed it because we were able to talk and just relax so a couple weekends ago while we were at Wal Mart we decided to pick out a puzzle and we went home and started putting it together. This wasn't just any puzzle though. It was one of those ones with the little teeny tiny pictures on each piece. Oh ya, and we chose a Pirates of the Caribbean puzzle with Captain Jack and the other two people. I can't think of their names, oh well...Anyway it was really fun to sit around and laugh and talk without the T.V. blaring in the background or having to scream at each other across a table while eating dinner in a busy restaurant. As you can see good times were had by all! PARTY ON!

Universal Studios Vacation!

I sure hope I get better at this blogging business...

Our latest adventure took us on a vacation to Florida. We had such a great time! Here are a few photos from our trip:
Here we are after riding "The Hulk" ride. It was the first thing we rode on our first day of vacation. What a great way to start off!

It was sooooo stinking hot in Florida the entire time we were there. I don't think we expected it to be that hot in October but it was. We just felt wet and gross and sticky the entire time. NASTY!

They have these awesome moving walk ways that go from the parking lot to the park entrance. They were a life saver after a couple of long days at the park. They should have these everywhere!!!!

This was on the second day of vacation. By that time I had learned that anything denim wasn't a good idea and that if I had a chance of surviving the unberable heat my hair had to be pulled back! This is a lovely shot right before riding the classic JAWS ride.

Here we are in the section that is supposed to resemble the streets of New York. Even though it looks like it's all gloomy and over cast it was still SOOOO HOT. Oh and did I mention it was hot there?

And finally here we are surfing at Daytona Beach. So the weird thing about this beach was that there was this weird haze coming off the water and it was making us cough like crazy. The lifeguards were even wearing masks. Kind of scary!

Daughtry Concert

At the beginning of the sumer we heard that Chris Daughtry was going to be coming to the Colorado State Fair and that tickets would go on sale at 10am one Saturday morning and that we had better get them fast because they would definitely sell out. So of course I am pumped sitting at the computer the morning they go on sale so that the second the clock hit 10:00 I was ready to purchase the tickets. So it is finally 10:00am and we buy our tickets. We were so proud of ourselves because our tickets were so close to the stage and we were going to be able to see everything so well!

So the day of the concert finally arrives about 3 months later and we get to the fair grounds in Pueblo. We walked in to the arena and we were really excited. Well, we start walking toward the front and walking and walking and walking and at this point we are still feeling really good about the whole situation but as we kept getting closer to the front of the building the less enthusiastic we got. When we finally reached our seats we realize that we must have been the very first people in the entire state of Colorado to purchase our tickets because our seats were located practically behind the stage so unless we were really interested in speakers and wires and buttons we couldn't see ANYTHING! As it got closer to the time the concert was going to start we realized that the place wasn't going to fill up so we took it upon ourselves to move to different seats and ended up getting killer seats with a much better view and had a fantastic time!

Our First Blog

Since it seems like everyone we know is now blogging we decided it was our turn to start one. While our lives may not be as exciting as the rest we hope you will enjoy our blog none the less. See how much fun this is already? We're rhyming!

Enjoy!
