Sawyer Who?

A few days ago at work an email went around about tickets to a country concert at the Pikes Peak Center. Not thinking we would get them my mother in law and I responded to the email and ended up scoring four tickets. So on Thursday night Scot, Jennifer, Leeann and I met up and went to the concert. None of us really had any idea what we were doing or who we were about to see but we ended up having a blast. The concert featured Sawyer Brown as the main group and then some lady named Reesie????, Chris Young, Phil Stacey (The American Idol Guy), and Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Sawyer Brown was really fun to watch and I ended up knowing some of their music being the part country fan that I am.

It always amazes me when you are out some where whether it's a concert or a play or some other sort of event how oblivious people are of their surroundings. However I am really glad that there are those people out there because sometimes they are even more entertaining to watch than the people you are supposed to be watching. There was a lady sitting in a box ahead of us that knew all of this guys dance moves before he would even do them and these weren't just any dance moves. They were like none I had ever seen before. Scot swore she was probably his wife and they had been practicing for quite some time but after seeing her run down to the stage to take about 3.4 million pictures of the guy we decided she was just a really really dedicated groupie. Then there was another lady seated on the bottom section of seats closest to the stage who kept standing up without any regard for those dedicated paying fans behind her and doing what looked like the mashed potato at a country concert for crying out loud. Number one I'm pretty sure that dance went out in the 60's and number two shouldn't she be doing like the boot scoot boogie if nothing else? Anyway as you can see I am a people watcher which is always a good time but if you ever really want to get some good dance moves you will have to look up Sawyer Brown!!!

Here is a picture of us anxiously awaiting for the concert to start:

(Note to self: NEVER WEAR THAT VEST IN A PICTURE AGAIN!!!!!!!)

We did have fun, didn't we! Thanks for being so much fun and not leaving us at McDonald's after that guy accused Leeann and I of being married to each other.

Jennifer Johansen, what is it with you going to the concert when you are pregnant!! It sounds like so much fun!! But I think we need to hear more about leeann being married to her sister!!! Jenny, That vest is cute!!! it doesn't look bad, it just looks like a bulky vest!!!

You have quite the luck when getting tickets to country concerts. Remember seeing SheDaisy and whoever else it was at the Universal Ampitheatre.... free tickets. That was so AWESOME!

I have never heard of any of those guys before. Sounds like it was still good times had by all. I love people watching also. I am a big fan of watching people in the mall. I always feel more attractive after I look at people in the real world rather than hollywood stars on tv, and movies all the time. Not that I think I'm hot or anything. You know what I mean.
