Memories

Alright, so I have seen this on a ton of blogs so I decided to join the fun! I hope to hear from you all, feel free to leave memories about me and/or Scoty!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is the most memorable for you.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you...!

I don't have many memories with you, so I probably should let Peter do this. The thing that always comes to mind when you are mentioned was when you told Peter you got a wedding present and he asked if it was a toaster and your response was "No, it's a...bread crisper!!!"

My favorite memory of Scot, When I was 14 and started going to the church dances, I had the biggest crush on some guy. And at a dance, the guy came up and asked my name, meaning that this dream guy that I had the worlds biggest crush on, didn't even know my name. I was a little crushed, and my big brother noticed. That night when we got home, he brought me a glass of milk with some cookies, and told me how beautiful I had looked at the dance and how sorry he was that he didn't get to dance with me. Every dance we have been to together since that night. Scot has asked me to dance! I love you big brother!

Where do I even begin?? There are at least 1000 memories I would love to share, but most of them go back to good old Elk Grove High. After we had graduated we would go back there some times and visit Ms. Hamilton. Then when ever we were leaving we would pretend that we were ditching school so that "Simba" would try to stop us. There was one time when we ran out to my car and jump in while she was yelling, "Girls! Come back." We just took off and you were waving out the back window the whole time. Then we drove past the school and yelled, "We ditched school." She just stood there and shook her head.

I've been thinking about this and I seriously can't think of very many specific memories. Just know that both of you added to my college experience like 110%, by the way have you checked out my seriously so blessed link on my blog. It is my favorite thing to read ever. It is so funny. Oh and by the way I know that I am officially lame sauce.

oh and by the way Scot you are such a good brother I almost wanted to cry when I read Katie's comment.

Here are a couple of my favorite memories of Jenny. I have a ton but anyway here goes. When Jenny was a baby she loved to be be held and rocked....in the middle of the night. I spent hours rocking her until I thought she was asleep but as soon as I stood up to take her to her crib her eyes would fly open and she would stare at me like I was trying to ditch her so I'd go back and rock some more.

Once I had a terrible headache so I was laying down in my room with the windows darkened. Jenny kept trying to come in but her dad would stop her and say mommy is sick so we need to let her rest. After several attempts to get in my room it got very quiet and I almost fell asleep. I noticed the door very carefully and slowly begin to open just wide enough for Jenny to crawl in. She came over to the bed and patted my face with her cubby little hand. She took the pacifier out of her mouth and stuck it in my mouth and said "Mommy my fider will make you better."

When she was about 4 years old she loved the weather broadcast. She would stop dead in her tracks to the weather. One day she gave me a picture that she drew with a lot of big suns. There were suns in the sky, on the house, on the grass and in the trees. I said how nice the picture was but asked why there were so many suns in it. She just smiled and said "It's a mostly sunny day."

Now as for Scot. One of the very first things I remember Jenny saying about Scot is that she loved the way he treated his sisters. She said he was always so respectful of them and concerned about them. That really stood out to her. The first time Scot came to California for a visit it was funny to watch the way Jenny and he would gravitate toward each other. If Jenny was on one side of the room and Scot walked in on the otherside you could just follow the way they gravitated toward each other until they were holding hands or sitting next to each other. It was like watching magnets. They just belonged together.

We love you both. Sorry for the long comment.
