Greetings from Camp Granada...I mean Cascade...

Recently Scot and I decided it was time for the first camping trip of the summer. We wanted to go somewhere new so we pulled out our trusty Best Colorado Campgrounds book and picked an area with a few campgrounds that looked good and headed up. Honestly I'm not the best camper but Scot sticks it out with me and I stick it out with him because I know he loves it. If it wasn't for the bugs, the dirt, the bathroom situation and the pure dirtiness of it all I would probably really like it...I do love the relaxation, sleeping in, eating and reading that I get to do though. Anyway, 'nough bout that...bring on the pictures!

Getting ready to go on our .5 mile hike. That doesn't sound like much but going uphill in that altitude...Oh and as a side note...this is the one thing that I absolutely can't stand...Scot and I go on quite a few hikes during the summer and EVERYWHERE we go there are people there with dogs which is fine, great and dandy...except that it's NOT! Wanna know why? Because people in Colorado think it's a great idea to go on hikes with their dogs and not put them on a leash! That is my biggest pet peeve people! PUT YOUR DOG ON A FREAKING LEASH...just thought you all should know how I feel. Scot gets to hear about it EVERY time we go on a hike. He's probably going to quit asking me to go if I keep it up...

...sang as they walked and walked and walked and waaaaaaalked...

Dizzy...but totally worth it...Oh and I know that I look amazing...I will give you my camping beauty regimen in a bit...you'll probably want to get a note pad to write it down.

Scot in shape and feelin good...

Relaxing in the hammock...

We also drove up this beautiful pass. The road was pretty bumpy but we had a lot of fun.

We almost made it to the end but when we got out to see if we could get around this HUGE snow pile (yes folks, snow in June...only in Colorado) there was a creepy gun guy and we pretty much just decided to get the heck out of there and head back...I feel that this would be a good time to also tell you about how I get this sexy look even in the wilderness...it is a combination of wet ones, grease and funk. It's pretty tricky but you all can totally make it work too. Oh baby...

Stopping for a photo op by the river/creek/crick...whatever it was it was pretty!

Great weekend and I'm sure there will be plenty more where that came from!

Vegas Baby!

Scot and I just got back from an ultra fabulous weekend in Vegas! We left on Saturday morning and came back just last night. We had such a great time...Here are a BOOTY load of pics from our trip...

At The Grand Canal Shops at the Venettian. The insides of the casinos are amazing! When we got there on Saturday we were STARVING so we began our trek from one end of the strip to the other and made a couple of stops along the way. Just in case you were wondering...The Strip is REALLY LONG!

This is just outside of the Venettian with T.I. in the background.

Eating pizza at New York New York for lunch. So yummy!

After a long afternoon on the strip we decided to go back to our hotel to swim at the pool and rejuvinate. So nice! Here we are in our hotel room getting ready to go out on the Strip again!

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. Good Food, Good Atmosphere...

We were seated next to this really cool waterfall. You can't tell in this picture though...

After dinner we went to the M&M and Coca Cola stores. Wooo hoo!!

I look like I ate one too many M&M's in this picture...yummy.

Here we are with the New York New York in the background. Did you know that it costs $14 to ride that dang roller coaster?! Call me cheap...but Wow!

We went to the water show at the Bellagio that night. So pretty! The night scene in Vegas is... interesting. My only advice is DON'T LOOK DOWN!

With the Luxor in the background...sorry kinda crooked. This hotel is amazing! It's actually shaped that way inside!! Pretty neat! You feel like you are in a rocket ship or something and you can't tell if it's day or night in there.

A double chin...

Here we are at the Mandalay Bay. This is a beautiful hotel as well! Huge! They even have a beach!!

On the Monorail on the way to go see The Lion King at the Mandalay Bay. The Monorail was our lifesaver this weekend. After that first day of walking up the strip I knew I wouldn't make it all weekend unless we used this fabulous form of public transportation!

The Lion King was Amazing! The costumes and the backdrops were gorgeous! We had such a great time! I would highly recommend this show if you are ever in Vegas. The tickets were really reasonable too!

We also went to Maddame Tussauds which was so much fun! Maddame Tussauds is a wax museum full of wax figures of famous celebrities. The figures are the same height, size, hair color, etc. as the person. If the person has a tatoo the figure will have a tatoo, if they have a scar the figure will too. It's pretty amazing. It's hard to tell in these pictures but they look so real! It's so much fun!

Scot with Wolverine...
And Indiana Jones...
Here I am having an interview with Oprah...man that chick is nosy.
Julia Roberts was hitting on Scot. I had to lay the smack down on her...
With Bond, James Bond
The Rock...nice see through shirt baby! He was giving me the stink eye...scary.
Just hangin' with Cameron
Johnny Depp was just walkin' around in there...weirdo.
I decided to marry George Clooney. He was just lookin' all fine and I thought "Why not?"
Close up...isn't that dress flattering? I knew I had to have it when I saw it!
Scot golfing with the pros...
Shootin' hoops with Shaq
Standing on the sidelines with Michael
Timmy McGraw was there..."What's up?!"
Then I did a little singing for Ryan and Simon. They were totally loving it...Ryan was anyway...Simon was still trying to decide.
Chillin' with 2Pac yo...
Spiderman, Spiderman...
Cris Angel was floating around as usual...
Oh Marilyn...Stop elbowing me!
Scot decided to play a little poker with Ben. I think Ben might have been constipated though so he wasn't playing very well.
Playing some tunes with Blue Man Group.
Hey Nicky!
Stealing some chocolate batter from Lucy...what? I was hungry by that time...I don't think she was very happy about it...
Hanging on Barack! Jeezzzz...Scandalous!
Hey it's John Wayne! Scot was totally freaking out that he might have lice after putting on the hats in the last two pictures. Ha ha ha!
Here is a view from our hotel room. We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club. It was such a nice place! It's kind of on the not so great end of the strip so the location isn't the bomb but the hotel was fabulous, clean and quiet!
Taking a break outside the Forum Shops at Caesars!
Caesars!
The Strip...
And finally here we are heading to In-N-Out Burger and the airport. We had to stop at the Welcome sign before we left though! We loved being in Vegas! The weather was fabulous, 90 degrees the whole time! The atmosphere was fun, there was so much to do! We just had a really fun, relaxing time! Thanks Scot for a fun weekend! Happy Anniversary!! Love you!

Honest Scrap Award Tag

Amber tagged me a LOOOONNGGG time ago. I am to list 7 things about me people might not know and have 7 other bloggers do the same. So here they are....

1. I have serious issues with paper towels. The texture of them really bothers me. When i think about the texture it makes me throw up in my mouth a little, kind of like when people run their nails down a chalkboard. If my hands are dry I won't even come near the things. Booo!

2. I LOVE going to used DVD/CD/Book stores. We have one called Entertainmart and I can never walk out of there without spending less than $50. The place is huge and I always start walking up and down each isle one by one but then all of a sudden a movie I have been looking for will pop in my head so I have rush over to that letter, then I go back to where I left off before until I think of another and then I have to rush over to that letter. It takes me a long time to get through that store. We only go about once every 3 or 4 months.

3. I am a serious homebody. I love to be at home and kind of going along with that I HEART pajamas. I would live in pajamas if I could. There is nothing better than coming home from a long day at work and putting on your favorite comfy PJ's. I can't start anything else once I get home until I have thrown on a good pair of sweats. I'm such a bum!

4. I love eating in bed. This might go along with #3 but oh well. That is really gross I know and I am really trying to be better about this especially with trying to get in shape. I haven't done it in a while...seriously. I haven't!...but WHEN I did I loved to have Oreos and Milk right before bed. Man this tag is kind of making me seem like a big, nasty, lazy, slob...

5. I am completely fascinated by celebrities! I think their lifestyle is interesting and I like to read about them and what they are doing. I love love to see what they wear to big red carpet events and see the gorgeous dresses that they have!

6. I DO NOT like to cook. I am really hoping that changes once I am not working and we start having kids. I hope to learn how to do it better and actually enjoy it. I think the real reason I don't like it is because I STINK at it!

7. I really want to learn to play the guitar and piano. I have taken piano lessons a few times so I know the basics but I would really like to take more lessons to become more fluent!

So there you have it. Now I am going to give this award to: Anyone who is feeling the need to...
