After that we finished out our work day and Scot picked me up (since we only have one car right now) and we went home and opened little gifts. Now, Scot knows that Valentine's Day isn't my most favorite holiday in the world and usually we talk about our spending limit when holidays such as this come around but this year we didn't really talk about it so me being the oblivious person that I can be thought that maybe he had finally gotten the hint and that I was in the clear this year. So I decided to make him a little something from the heart and let me tell you I was so proud of myself thinking that I was doing something so nice for him and he wasn't doing anything for me. Well I of course was wrong. Here is what I did:
(Look at him being all cute and pretending to love his gift)
Here is a closer look. They are fortune cookies made out of felt and inside each one are the top 10 reasons I love Scot. Awwwwww. Anyway here is what he did:
I felt a little shmuckish (is that a word, oh well). He's such a thoughtful and fantastic husband. I love him. Well, after that I made him some delicioso enchiladas that we ate on our AWESOMELY cute Valentine's dishes and we had a nice little dinner.
THEN we went to the movies. We had planned to see Fool's Gold but it was sold out so then Scot wanted to see Jumpers but there weren't very many seats left which means we would have been in the front row so we saw 27 Dresses.
What a cute movie! We loved it. I love Katherine Heigl though. I am pretty sure I am biased however since Grey's Anatomy is my all time favorite show in the world and I have been so sad since it hasn't been on for the last few eons or so.
Anyway needless to say we had an out of this world Valentine's Day and I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful husband that I love so much!
Happy Valentine's Day! (yesterday)...

Happy Valentine's Day!
We had a great Valentine's Day! It started off with Scot pulling me from my meeting at work to bring me some beautiful red roses for me to enjoy at my horrendously lame and obnoxious job. I especially like the red vase they came in!

I LOVED 27 Dresses. I thought it was really cute! And that's a very pretty necklace, but I also love the fortune cookies. I love you both!
What a terrific son-in-law we have. Sounds like you had a wonderful day. We wish we could see more of you both. We love you. Mom & Dad
I so have to see that show. Sounds like a wonderful Valentine's day!
Very creative with the fortune cookies! Great idea!
What a cute day you had and I think you were over-the-top creative and so you shouldn't feel schmuckish in the slightest bit, especially since the fortune cookies were sentimental, too . . . they were what you served at your wedding reception! So, I think you were both romantic and fun and I'm so glad you found each other!
Your gift was so cute, if i was crafty i would totally steal that, but don't worry i haven't a creative bone in my body..You guys are a cute..And i also loved 27 dresses...
Scot is so good to you. I think the fortune cookies are a cute idea.
